Terms for using WorkDesk
Effective August 14, 2026. These terms govern authorized access to the WorkDesk Intelligence Platform operated by Counting On It Bookkeeping.
Acceptance and authorized use
By accessing WorkDesk, a user agrees to these terms. WorkDesk is provided only to authorized Counting On It Bookkeeping personnel and approved client participants for the configured bookkeeping workflow. Access is personal, limited, revocable, and may not be transferred or used to access another client's information.
Accounting authority
WorkDesk supports, but does not replace, professional bookkeeping judgment. QuickBooks Online remains authoritative for accounting records. A Bill may be created only after the required WorkDesk approval and every mandatory validation control passes.
User responsibilities
Users must provide accurate source documents, protect their access, review items requiring judgment, and promptly report suspected errors or unauthorized access. Users must not bypass controls, submit unlawful material, probe another client boundary, or interfere with service operation.
Third-party services
WorkDesk relies on configured services such as Intuit QuickBooks Online, Microsoft SharePoint and approved hosting or document-processing providers. Their availability and separate terms may affect the workflow.
Privacy
Use of WorkDesk is also governed by the WorkDesk Privacy Notice. Users must not place credentials, secrets, or unrelated personal information in invoice documents or exception notes.
Availability, suspension, and termination
Counting On It Bookkeeping may suspend or terminate access to protect client information, preserve accounting integrity, address security or legal concerns, maintain the platform, or end the applicable service relationship. On termination, the user must stop using WorkDesk; provisions that by their nature should survive will continue, including restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law.
Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WorkDesk is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Users remain responsible for reviewing matters requiring bookkeeping or accounting judgment.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Counting On It Bookkeeping is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity arising from WorkDesk. Aggregate liability relating to WorkDesk will not exceed the fees paid for the WorkDesk-related service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, law, and contact
Material changes to these terms will be identified before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be restricted. Questions may be directed through the established Counting On It Bookkeeping service relationship.
